What's all this about organic cotton?
Organic growing systems aim to replenish and maintain soil fertility.
This helps to build biologically diverse agriculture.
Organic cotton uses less water too. A waste water treatment system at the factory in Kolkata cleans water used in the manufacturing process.
Fields must be pesticide free for at least three years to be certified organic.
The cotton must be processed according to international organic standards.
